This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Richard G. Kitagawa who was born on November 29, 1985 and passed away on August 17, 2007 at the age of 21. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

"RICHARD was a great, wonderful person.  Hard worker, responsible, initiative and very loving.  Throughout his years, he took care of others before him, especially his family.  He was the best son, brother, and friend we could ever ask for.  When it comes to everything else, he showed great passion, potential and the eagerness to strive to learn and be better at what he does.  No matter what he was pursuing or what he accomplished, his heart was his main guidance."

A Fairfield man was killed Friday when his motorcycle struck a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of I-80 near Vallejo. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the motorcycle was traveling westbound on I-80 east of the Hunter Hill Road rest area at an unknown speed at the time of the crash. The driver then came off the roadway for an unknown reason, officials said, and struck a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, which was parked on the right shoulder as a result of a previous incident. The driver of the motor-cycle, identified as Richard G. Kitagawa, 21, of Fairfield, was ejected from his motorcycle, CHP officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Craig Kuehl at 707-428-2100.

Richard

God needed more of His Angels,
And He picked one of the Best, which is You.
But now that you’re keeping Him company,
What are we going to do?

We know you’ll be watching over us,
Until we meet again.
But some of us need your help,
To pick up these pieces
That shattered the day you went.

Please be with those that need you most,
That have been hurting through and through.
The Love remains and hasn’t changed; just grows stronger and true for you.
May You continue to do the work of God, what He called upon you to do.
To Heal those that have been broken;
Help them to see the wonders of God thru You.
